Hunting Exam Process
The Hungarian hunting exam is organized by the National Hungarian Chamber of Hunters (OMVK). The exam consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical section covers game management, wildlife biology, firearms knowledge, legal regulations, and hunting ethics. The practical exam evaluates safe firearm handling and field conduct.
Prerequisites
To apply for the hunting exam, you need: minimum 18 years of age, clean criminal record, completion of a preparatory course, medical fitness certificate. Courses typically last 40-60 hours.
